Spencer Peterman scours forests for fallen trees, especially ones that are covered with moss and dirt and just beginning to decompose. Then he takes them back to his studio to hand carve and polish into smooth bowls in graduated sizes. Each piece is one of a kind and kiln-dried to take the moisture in the wood, so with proper care, (rinse with soap and water, rub occasionally with walnut or other food safe oil) it will last forever.
