Throughout history Orange Blossom flowers have symbolized purity, innocence, chastity and fertility. In 1684 Louis XIV left Fontainebleau for Versailles and, fond of the sweet scent and gorgeous white flowers of the orange blossom, installed his Orangerie. He insisted, even in the middle of January, that baskets of orange blossoms perfume the rooms. A symbol of fertility, the flowers have been considered ideal adornments for brides.
