Most of the pieces you see on our web site have been carefully crafted by individual artists in a studio setting. Given the handcrafted nature of these pieces, subtle variations in detail and finish can occur as well as variable delivery times on special orders/out of stock items. We work hard to ensure that the quality of everything we sell is up to our exacting standards.

PURCHASES/IN OR OUT OF STOCK

Purchases are shipped within 2 business days and you will receive an email confirmation of your order. Out Of Stock items may be available for Special Order. We will immediately notify you by email if a particular item is out of stock and how soon we can ship it to you.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS ONLINE

The Artful Hand Gallery accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover online. All credit card transactions are secure. We use Secure Socket Layering (SSL), the industry standard encryption technology which ensures safe internet transmission of your personal information.

SALES TAX

Sales tax of 6.25% is added to all purchases by Massachusetts residents.

SHIPPING & HANDLING

All orders are carefully packaged and fully insured through UPS. Orders received before noon EST will ship within 2 business days. If you wish to expedite your shipment, you may choose UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, or 3 Day Select at the time of purchase (prices vary). You may email us to request a tracking number for your package.

RETURN / SALE POLICY

Purchases from our inventory may be returned within 7 days of receipt for a refund, and up to 14 days for a store credit. Please contact us for a Return Authorization Number, or your return will not be accepted. Your return must be shipped to us in the original packaging (or something comparable to it), in its original and unused condition, prepaid and fully insured. If your item arrives to us damaged, you are responsible for filing a claim. C.O.D. deliveries will not be accepted. Shipping and Handling charges are non-refundable.

Items purchased on our website may not be returned to store locations for credit, nor does our internet return policy apply to items purchased in our stores. Sale items, special orders and custom orders are non-refundable and final sale.

DAMAGES

We have many years of successful shipping experience nationally and internationally. We will take responsibility for items that arrive damaged as long as you follow these steps:

  1. Damage must be reported within 3 days of delivery.
    After 3 days, it may be too late to process a claim. If we cannot process a claim, our ability to help you will be severely limited or denied. Therefore, please take some time to inspect everything in your package as soon as it arrives.
  2. Save the box and ALL packing materials. The shipping agency will usually collect and inspect the package.
  3. If you can, please take photos of the boxes or crates showing outside evidence of damage. Also take photos of the contents and the damage.
  4. Repack the damaged item(s) and packing materials back in the box to the best of your ability.
  5. Contact us. E-mail us with the name on the shipping label, the details of the problem and how to get in touch with you besides e-mail.

If the product you receive is for some reason defective, we will arrange for a UPS call tag to have the merchandise picked up from you. If you are returning it for some other reason, you will need to pay the cost of shipping it back to us. Please note that additional shipping charges will apply to exchanges. Once the return is received we will e-mail you with a confirmation. If you are requesting a credit we will send you a credit memo via email.

SPECIAL & CUSTOM ORDERS

We do our best to have every piece on our web site available to you for immediate shipment, however due to the nature of our product, this is not always possible. If the piece you have ordered is temporarily out of stock, we will contact you by email with an estimated shipping date. This item will constitute a special order. Please contact us if you need a special size or some alteration in a particular piece. In most instances we should be able to accommodate you. Any changes made to items for a customer are considered custom orders. All special and custom orders are considered final sale and not returnable or exchangeable.
