These clocks are handmade and tell time in an inventive way. The clocks run on "sweep" motors that eliminate both the jerky motion and monotonous noise of ticking. “If a clock starts and stops, jerking as each second passes, well that’s completely incongruous with the passage of time, which is continuous,” says the Oakland-based designer, David Chalk, Every clock is signed by the artist and numbered. Reading a Cleverclock can require some guidance at first, and so the clocks are packaged with a card that shows how to read each one at six sample times throughout the day.

The Hexagon clock measures 5.75" square by 2" deep. It can be wall mounted or free standing.
